As someone committed to brain retraining, you already know how important it is to support nervous system regulation. But there’s one thing that can quietly pull you out of regulation — and you may not even realize it: Empathy. When we’re in continued empathy, we don’t just notice someone else’s suffering — we can feel it as our own. And that feeling can flood our system with the same stress chemicals the other person is experiencing. For a healing brain, this kind of emotional “merging” can keep us stuck in old patterns of worry, hypervigilance, dysregulation, and depletion. But there’s a gentler, more sustainable option: Compassion. Compassion allows us to stay open-hearted and supportive — without absorbing someone else’s pain. Compassion actually BUILDS connection with others. They will feel and appreciate the difference! In this powerful 2-hour workshop, you’ll: • Learn the difference between empathy and compassion from a brain retraining perspective • Understand why full-blown empathy can stall healing • Discover how compassion supports a regulated, resilient nervous system • Learn how to communicate with the subconscious to make this shift stick • Practice compassionate states in real time — so your brain knows what it feels like You’ll leave knowing exactly how to bring compassion into your daily retraining practice, your relationships, and your internal world — to support your healing for the long term. ________________________________________ THIS WORKSHOP IS FOR YOU IF: • You’re currently retraining your brain to support healing • You can feel emotionally drained by others • You find it hard to stay in your own energy in social or family settings • You’ve noticed that “feeling for others” can throw off your practice or progress • You’re ready to rewire your brain into a state of calm, compassionate strength * A recording will be sent to all that register * By registering for this workshop you agree that your name and video may be on the recording * I will invite all participants to come on camera at the beginning of the workshop, to welcome you. Then you can choose if you have your camera on or off. Your comfort is a priority! * Please arrive on time. I will do my best, but I may not see you in the waiting room if you are late. * If you need to leave early, you won't miss anything as you will be sent the recording. * Fees are in CAD
